Schumer Pitches for Pollard As Hill Makes Grab For Bill's TV Guide
FIRST LADY: Seeking image help
New York Post - June 9, 2000 - Robert Hardt Jr. and Gregg Birnbaum
HILLARY Rodham Clinton's campaign has turned to one of her husband's most trusted television image-makers.
Sheehan and Associates, a nationally recognized firm, boasts it has "coached" more presidents, vice presidents, senators and other top officials than any other company.
Founder Mike Sheehan aided President Clinton in his two campaigns, prepped him for debates, and pitched in on State of the Union addresses.
While on Hillary's campaign payroll, Sheehan also remains "on call" to the Clinton administration, making sure its representatives are quotable and effective on television so they can "get their message out."

Jewish groups have been pressing Hillary to take a stand on convicted spy Jonathan Pollard - and she may find a helping hand from Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Campaign Buzz has learned that Schumer - who believes Pollard's life sentence for turning over sensitive Navy documents to the Israelis was too harsh - received a top-secret briefing by the CIA on the case earlier this year.
In recent, mostly unnoticed appearances before Jewish groups, Schumer has said that even after hearing the inside scoop about Pollard's crimes, he remains in favor of clemency.
"He didn't hear anything he hadn't heard before," said Schumer spokeswoman Cathie Levine.
Neither Clinton nor Rick Lazio has taken a position on whether Pollard should be freed - but now the first lady could look to Schumer as her guide.
